Paula ChavezLighthouse interviewed Paula Chavez to hear about her knowledge and experience with Intellectual Property (IP) and patenting.

Paula began practising IP and business law in the Silicon Valley in 1990. Paula was General Counsel to high tech companies in Portland Oregon before working with Motorola for seven years while living in France.

Since arriving in Australia in 2010, Paula realised that Australia has a yearly IP deficit of $3.25B because Australians do not patent.

Paula's passion is to promote the worldwide knowledge-based capital economy in Australia, which she does by writing and teaching how to capture innovation as transferable assets, in particular patents.
